The mid-match promo took place in the match between Bobby Roode and Titus Worldwide and Authors of Pain and Mojo Rawley. While the match was going on, the WWE started promoting their WWE SummerSlam matches rather than showing the match properly.

While the promo was also not about the match going on, it didn't make sense. Many people watching the show at home would have changed the channel due to this.
