Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams got in Pete Dunne's face backstage on WWE NXT 2.0. The Bruiserweight told Hayes that he would break his fingers later on in the night.

Dunne lived up to his words and targeted Hayes' fingers early on in the main event. The NXT North American Champion recovered and kept a safe distance from the veteran before unleashing his offense.

Hayes revered the Bitter End into a cutter for another nearfall. He tried to apply the Gargano Escape, but Dunne fought out. Outside the ring, Lumis leveled Trick to keep him out of the game on NXT 2.0.

An arm popped up to grab Hayes' boot from under the ring, allowing The Bruiserweight to hit the Bitter End to win. The arm was revealed to be Johnny Gargano's.

It was the best match of the night that brought out the best of both the NXT Superstars. It looks like WWE will be turning Dunne face after his partner got drafted to SmackDown. It could help the former NXT UK Champion grow on the current roster.

Gargano and Melo will likely continue their rivalry for the NXT North American Championship in the weeks to come.
