#1. Former WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero passes away - November 13th, 2005

Eddie Guerrero was one of the most popular stars in WWE at the time of his passing in November 2005.

Latino Heat had used his "lying, cheating and stealing" tactics to climb his way up to the WWE Championship. Just months earlier, he had ended one of the most personal feuds in history.

Rey Mysterio defeated Eddie Guerrero in a ladder match at SummerSlam in 2005 to retain custody of eight-year-old Dominik, who is now part of the WWE roster.

A few months later, the WWE Universe was handed the crushing blow that the former Champion had passed away. The episode of RAW, which took place later that night, was a tribute to the star with many fans in attendance unaware of his passing until the show went live.

Even now, 16 years after Guerrero's passing, his legacy is there for all to see in the industry. He went on to inspire many of the current crop of stars, with many of them paying tribute to Eddie. Several AEW stars even honored Guerrero at Full Gear last night.
