Edge has become one of WWE's best-loved characters over the past few decades, despite losing nine years of his career due to injury.

The Rated R Superstar was born on October 30th, 1973 in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. His mother Judy worked two jobs to support her son and he became interested in wrestling at a young age.

At the age of 16, Edge attended WrestleMania VI at the Toronto SkyDome in 1990 and pinpointed this match as the one that made him decide that he wanted to become a wrestler.

The former 11-time World Champion was forced to put his wrestling dreams aside for many years in order to help pay the bills, but went on to make his debut in 1992 when he was 19 years old.

October 30th was also the day that he and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix married back in 2016. The couple met whilst working for the company together in 2011 and have two children called Ruby Ever and Lyric Rose.
