Well, what a story this is. Of course, the only other current NXT star to defeat Aleister Black is Ciampa's arch-rival and former tag team partner. Anything Gargano can do, Ciampa will always claim he can do better - and he one-upped his former partner here as Ciampa took home some gold.
On December 13th episode, Aleister Black defeated Adam Cole to qualify for a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship. Upon winning, Black was placed into the match against Johnny Gargano, Killian Dain and Lars Sullivan on December 27th.
See who is stunned by Hulk Hogan's words HERE
Gargano won the match by pinning Aleister Black - becoming the first Superstar to ever pin Black on NXT television, although again, this wasn't without its shenanigans as The Undisputed Era had left their mark on the match.
