The Elimination Chamber match takes place in a structure made for the annual WWE event. Six grapplers enter the structure to outlast everyone else to win a championship or future title opportunity. Two of them begin the match while the other four wait inside their respective pods, which open at timed intervals. The superstars get eliminated via pinfall or submission until the last man standing.
The Elimination Chamber Match was created by Triple H and first introduced in November 2002 by Eric Bischoff. It was used only briefly at various WWE pay-per-views until 2009. Meanwhile, the first-ever WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view was held in 2010. Triple H, a 14-time world champion holds the record for the most wins and eliminations in the history of Elimination Chamber as of March 2025.
