Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, Matt Riddle, Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, Bobby Lashley, Ken Shamrock - these are just a few of the names who, like Tom Lawlor, have made a name for themselves both in the Octagon and the squared circle.
But if former UFC star Lawlor could bring one current UFC star to the promotion he currently plies his trade in, MLW, where he's due to face off against Davey Boy Smith Jr at upcoming pay-per-view Blood & Thunder, who would he choose?
Well, we asked the man himself on MLW's media call.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"If we're talking right now, who would I choose in the UFC? It's a good question. Not one I'd given much consideration to.
"I think you've got to take Stipe Miocic, the Heavyweight Champion. Why not? He's the biggest, baddest man on the planet. He defeated arguably the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world - Daniel Cormier, two-division champion. Let's take him. Let's take the baddest man out there."
Lawlor - no stranger to the Octagon himself - went on to comment on two men who are making waves in WWE right now in Brock Lesnar, and the man who confronted The Beast Incarnate to conclude the very first episode of SmackDown on FOX on Friday - Cain Velasquez.
"Cain Velasquez just showed up on SmackDown and if we put all these guys back into an Octagon today, Cain may have beat Brock 20 years ago but I'm not sure 2019 Cain Velasquez beats 2019 Brock Lesnar in the Octagon - and I don't think either of them could hold a candle to Stipe."
