You only have to type the words ‘Authors of Pain’ into Google to see that the monstrous Akam and Rezar are destined for Raw and SmackDown Live at some point.

The top search result for the former NXT Tag Team champions brings up the words ‘main roster’, and it’s no surprise given how dominating the duo have been in their matches since debuting on television in June 2016.

AOP, guided by veteran manager Paul Ellering, have battled with almost every tag team possible on NXT – from The Revival and #DIY to American Alpha and SAnitY – and they even took part in the historic TakeOver: War Games match in November.

Perhaps 2017 was a little soon for Akam and Rezar, still new to the wrestling business, to be mixing it up on a bigger stage, but don’t be surprised if we see a few Super Colliders being thrown around on Raw or SmackDown Live in 2018.
