The Usos started off the year as SmackDown Tag Team Champions and retained the tag team titles against Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin in a 2 out of 3 falls match at Royal Rumble. They then lost the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to the Bludgeon Brothers at WrestleMania and lost in their rematch at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

They then had a pretty uneventful summer as they lost several matches to Gallows & Anderson and the Bar. However, the brothers then became captains for Team SmackDown Live at Survivor Series by defeating the New Day. The Usos then successfully led Team SmackDown Live's tag teams to a victory over Team Raw's tag teams by being the sole survivors for Team SmackDown Live.

After that, they unsuccessfully challenged the Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in a triple threat tag team match at TLC by pinning the New Day. The duo seems to be heading back into the background as Gallows & Anderson and SAnitY both get opportunities.
