The New Day started off the year by entering the Royal Rumble match and by challenging the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Fastlane. The Bludgeon Brothers would then defeat both the New Day & the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania.

They would lose their rematch and then help Team SmackDown Live win the tag team elimination match at Survivor Series before losing another tag team title match at TLC. They are set to enter the Royal Rumble match.
