John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012

One of the most intense matches of WWE's PG era took place between John Cena and the returning Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012.

The most memorable moment of the blood-fest main event came when Lesnar launched himself over the steel steps, which were positioned in the centre of the ring, and towards Cena on the edge of the ring apron.

Unbeknown to “The Beast”, his opponent had a steel chain wrapped around his fist, which he used to strike an off-guard Lesnar in the head (07:00 in the video below).
