#3 CM Punk cashes in on Jeff Hardy

CM Punk won an impromptu title match at Extreme Rules 2009

Following the main event between Jeff Hardy and Edge at Extreme Rules 2009, CM Punk successfully cashed in his Money In The Bank contract for the second year in a row to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

“The Best In The World” struck Jeff with two GTSs, getting a 2-count with the first and a 3-count with the second, to win a match which lasted just 62 seconds (03:00 on the video below).

The two men would go on to battle at the next three pay-per-views, with Jeff regaining the title at Night of Champions before losing it back to Punk in the main event of SummerSlam.
