AJ and Cena had their best encounter to date. Their match was so good that it outclassed their previous encounter at SummerSlam. Cena's top-rope Attitude Adjustment was beautiful to watch, but Styles kicked out from that. Cena's clotheslines were even more brutal than JBL's and Stan Hansen's.
Both stars locked in their signature submission moves on multiple occasions. Every manoeuvre was sold excellently and the chemistry between the two stars was palpable. Cena won the match to tie Ric Flair's record of sixteen world championships. It would take a minor miracle to overshadow this encounter.
