#1 versus John Cena (SummerSlam 2013, August 18, 2013)
Daniel Bryan's greatest moment at SummerSlam came in 2013, when his popularity had become so powerful with the masses that WWE inserted him into the main event slot against the company's biggest star, John Cena.
In a rare babyface vs babyface encounter, the match hosted excellent action for most of its near 30-minute runtime.
With Triple H as the special guest referee looking on, Bryan dominated Cena in the latter stages of the bout with kicks and secured the win and the WWE Championship with a running knee to the face. Bryan was the new WWE Champion.
Unfortunately, Bryan would not leave SummerSlam as Champion as Triple H would turn on him and lay the new Champion out allowing Money in the Bank contract holder, Randy Orton to pin Bryan and win the belt.
Bryan would get the last laugh though, defeating Triple H at the following year's WrestleMania to earn another title shot which he secured by defeating both Orton and Batista in the main event.
