John Cena could return for a high-stakes feud with Daniel Bryan

Despite 2018 being a rather underwhelming year for the Cenation & John Cena himself, there is no doubt that a potential high-stakes feud against a heel Daniel Bryan could be the right calling card for a John Cena comeback.

Just like with Shawn Michaels, there is already an inbuilt story leading into this potential matchup.

Back in 2013, Bryan earned Cena's respect by defeating the latter in a one-on-one singles match with Triple H as special guest referee. Shortly after that, Triple H & Randy Orton would unite against Daniel Bryan in a shocking turn of events that would give rise to the classic Bryan vs. The Authority feud that made the 'YES' Man insanely popular.

Now that the situation has changed, and it is Daniel Bryan who defied his own morals, perhaps it is time for John Cena to come back and continue a story that we all thought had ended way earlier.
