After his split from the Wyatt family, Strowman had been gaining steady popularity with the WWE univerese. His ring-work also continued to show tremendous improvement since his debut. In fact, Strowman has consistently been improving during his time in the WWE despite being rushed through NXT.

He faced off against Reigns at Fastlane 2017 and had solid fan support despite being a heel at the time. While some of that support may have stemmed from the WWE universe's rejection of The Big Dog, there were legitimate supporters of 'The Moster Among Men'. Strowman proved that he could hold his own against a main-event talent like Roman Reigns and while the ending of this match was quite a letdown, it proved Strowman's potential as a top tier guy.

However, WWE decided to push Reigns over Strowman, effectively killing off the buzz surronding the heavyweight superstar. The clean victory was detrimental to Braun's career while not doing anything to put 'The Big Dog' over with the fans. A controversial finish might have helped both superstars more than the clean victory did. Instead, fans only cheered the supposed heel even more as Reigns was pushed as a baby face.

All in all, while it was not the very best of Strowman in WWE, it was a match that is justified a spot on this list. The match lasted for 17 minutes and the two superstars laid it all on the line during that time. The match ended with Strowman going for a big Diving Splash but missing. In addition, this was also the first time anyone ever pinned Braun Strowman in the WWE since his arrival.
