#1. "My Way" by Limp Bizkit (WrestleMania 17)
Some songs on this list provided an excellent vibe to the story of a match heading into WrestleMania, while others made the entire show feel bigger and more fun. Limp Bizkit's "My Way" accomplished both of them.
There is no song that better suited a single match in the history of professional wrestling than "My Way" for the epic WWE Championship match between "Stone Cold' Steve Austin and the Rock at WrestleMania 17. The music accompanying the narrative makes this the greatest video package ever created by WWE's unbelievable production staff.
Austin and Rock were two of the most popular names in the history of WrestleMania and the importance of their main event here was magnified tremendously by the hard rock nature of the song and what it meant for all involved.
Both men were unwilling to let the other get an upper hand in this program and see things in any way but his own. The timing of the riffs and the chords were perfect and in sync with the Stunners and the Rock Bottoms in the package.
WrestleMania 17 was the most significant culmination of any era in wrestling history in so many ways. It was the end of a fierce competition, as WWE put WCW out of business a week before the show, and Austin as the top babyface, as he turned heel on the night, among other things.
"My Way" perfectly illustrated the ways of all involved in WrestleMania 17, most of all Vince McMahon, as he came out on top over Ted Turner. Never has a single theme song be so representative of an event, the promoter, a match and the two stars involved. Just absolute perfection.
