#1 Braun Strowman announced he would cash in his MITB contract

Roman Reigns finally defeated Brock Lesnar

This move was a masterstroke by the WWE creative team. The WWE crowd had already decided to hijack the main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. There were " You Both Suck" chants when the match started. There was a twist in the tale when Braun Strowman came to the ring and told Lesnar and Reigns that he would cash-in his Money in the Bank contract after the match against the winner. The crowd was hoping for a Triple Threat match before his announcement.

Adding Strowman to the mix was a smart move by the WWE. It was a quick match with Reigns dominating first followed by Lesnar. Brock Lesnar attacked Strowman and threw his Money in the Bank contract far away and gave an F-5 to him outside the ring making sure he won't be able to cash in his MITB contract. This distraction caused Lesnar his Championship as Reigns speared Lesnar and won the match. It was a perfect booking by the WWE. Reigns won clean and Lesnar looked strong even after losing, with Strowman not being able to change the result in his favor. It was a spectacular ending to SummerSlam 2018.
