Wells would dominate the start of the match, but Roberts was able to get out of the ring and get some separation.
However, it was the events that occurred after the match was over which became more infamous. The match would end with Roberts hitting Wells with his DDT finisher. After the match ended Jake would untie the sack that he had brought with him to the ring and brought out his snake, wrapping it around Wells' body.
The snake would coil its body around the neck and arms of a prone Wells and seemingly constrict. Wells would then begin to foam at the mouth before Roberts removed the Snake.
Roberts was undefeated at the time and would remain the same for a further month at House Shows and televised matches for another four months, eventually losing to Ricky 'the Dragon' Steamboat.
