Rey Mysterio wins the 2006 Royal Rumble

Rey Mysterio shocked the world when he won the Royal Rumble match in 2006. He entered the match at number two, alongside Triple H at number one. Rey lasted 63 minutes and eliminated six people. Mysterio was only the second person to win the Royal Rumble from the number two position. It is the longest Royal Rumble ever and Rey is the shortest person to ever win one. He also holds the record for the most time spent in the ring during a Royal Rumble match.

Rey would go on to dedicate the win to his late friend Eddie Guerrero, who had died in November 2005.
