AJ Styles was the biggest name in professional wrestling when he came to WWE in 2016. Naturally he got inserted into the title picture within 4 months. Roman Reigns and Styles had a good match at Payback. But they stepped it up a notch in their Extreme Rules match.

This was truly a battle of power and agility. Roman was the powerhouse and Styles was the high flyer. Both of them played their roles to perfection. Styles could not keep Reigns down for the count of three even with a Styles Clash onto a steel chair. The involvement of The Usos and The Club surprisingly made the match even better.

The match ended when Reigns countered The Phenomenal Forearm with a Spear in mid-air, and pinned The Phenomenal One for the three count.

The icing on the cake was Seth Rollins' surprise return from injury. He made his intentions clear after Pedigree-ing Reigns and posing with the championship he never lost.
