Top 5 talents who are being wasted in WWE

WWE‘s current roster is jam packed and has several good talents that are raring to get an opportunity to showcase their talents, while this may make WWE look like a strong company, it does bring along the problem of plenty.

WWE’s spoiled for choice when it comes to using their talents and this has made a negative impact on the roster. For long WWE has been accused of wasting talents and not giving them the right amount of exposure. Though it is acceptable when WWE says that giving each wrestler time on TV is difficult, WWE does keep wrestlers away from TV spots for a very long time.

There are many such wrestlers in the roster today whose talents are being wasted. Let us look at the top wrestling talents who can be given better quality exposure:

1. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was a hot name a few years ago and he was deemed as ‘The Chosen One’ by none other than Vince McMahon himself and was surely going to be a future World Champion. But little did we realize then that Drew Mcintyre’s future will be nothing but that of a jobber in a worthless comic team called 3MB.

So, how does it feel to be at the top and then fall back down to the extent of being called stupid backstage? Ask McIntyre and he’ll tell you just that.

He being paired along with the likes of Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal (not undermining their talents whatsoever) is depressing because McIntyre has all it takes to be a good World title contender mainly because he has the looks, the skills and also the physical ability to compete with the best.

Let’s hope WWE Creative takes a note of this struggling talent and helps him find his way, if not to the top, at least to some place commendable.

2. Darren Young and Titus O’Neil

Darren Young

The Prime Time Players had two good future prospects as a team and if handled properly, they could have ended being an extremely dominant tag team today. The presently struggling tag-team requires a team that can challenge the Shield and despite WWE’s efforts to sell the Usos as a credible team, things aren’t turning out too well here.

Having the Prime Time Players in this situation with a better character could have helped WWE create a really interesting storyline with the Shield, who at the moment have lost a lot of momentum.

3. Antonio Cesaro

Antonio Cesaro

Undoubtedly one of the most talented wrestler in the roster today, Cesaro started his career extremely well as he held the United States title for close to 300 days. While on paper the title reign looks impressive, in reality Cesaro’s downfall can be credited towards this reign.

With a lot of non-title losses and meaningless feuds, Cesaro seemed extremely weak as a Champion. Now that WWE has realized how badly they have mishandled Cesaro, they have put him up with Zeb Colter in an attempt to bring some credibility back into his character.

4. Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder

With the amount of fan following that this guy had, WWE could have done wonders putting him in a good mid-card feud. Instead, they used him as a top jobber where he lost almost every time he appeared on TV.

Sadly, despite the best efforts by fans to get some sense into WWE, the company remains unfazed and doesn’t look like WWE has any sort of plan involving Ryder.

5. Brodus Clay

Brodus Clay

Not many might approve of this, but Brodus Clay looked a decent prospect before WWE gave him the Funkasaurus gimmick. Despite that, Clay managed to do justice to the character and maintained some sort of relevance.

The final nail in the coffin came when he was paired with Lord Tensai. WWE’s never had much success with the dancer gimmicks and providing a big sized wrestler this was the worst thing of all.

The fact that Clay doesn’t make any more TV appearances is reason enough to understand how big a failure this gimmick has been.
