Triple H's final World Heavyweight Title reign was a Transitional one.
Who can forget Triple H's reign of terror from 2002 to early 2005? During those three years, the Cerebral Assassin ran rampant through the roster and went over Superstars from WCW, ECW and even WWF's Attitude Era. He carried the World Heavyweight Championship for most of those years and defeated the likes of Goldberg, Booker T, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam and so on. He also won the feud against his former Evolution stablemate, Randy Orton.
Triple H won his final World Heavyweight Championship at New Year's Revolution 2005 in an Elimination Chamber match. However, that reign was a transitional one. His evolution teammate at that time, Batista was getting ready for his big push and the World Title needed to be put on someone in the meanwhile. Triple H was the right guy for this job. After Batista won 2005's Royal Rumble match, the Evolution disbanded and Triple H put over the Animal in the main event of Wrestlemania 21. This match officially marked the end of Triple H's reign of terror.

Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
