In an electric match, Buddy Murphy toppled Cedric Alexander to win the Cruiserweight Championship in his hometown. It was a well-deserved triumph. After all the stellar work he's put in on 205 Live this year, Buddy Murphy got rewarded.

Let's hope his reward wasn't just a one-night thing, either. There is the possibility he drops the championship back to Alexander and only won because it was in his hometown. That would be a mistake. Murphy deserves a good run with the title and is the better man for the job than Alexander at this time. The fact that he ended Alexander's 2018 undefeated streak gives us room to hope that will be the case.
