PWInsider has reported that the initial plans for Dolph Ziggler's big return at the Royal Rumble called for him to answer the open challenge of Bobby Roode for the United States Title on the Rumble pre-show.

However, those plans allegedly changed and Ziggler was bumped up to the Royal Rumble match in the number thirty spot, which was why he seemed to return during the Rumble match for nothing, getting eliminated fairly quickly, because he wasn't supposed to be in the match at all.

A lot was made of some of the blows that Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar gave each other at the Royal Rumble, with many believing that the two huge wrestlers were legitimately hitting each other.

The trouble started earlier in the match when Strowman delivered a stiff knee to Brock Lesnar. It has then been reported that Lesnar was visibly aggrieved and that the audio for the match had to be cut as Lesnar was cursing throughout the match after that.

There's a possibility that we already know that the injured Dean Ambrose, and the not-cleared to compete Daniel Bryan may not appear at the 'Grandest Stage of Them All.' At least if the AXXESS signing schedule for 2018's 'Mania is anything to go by.

Previously, for the last two years, the Superstars who were on the Sunday Morning signing sessions did not go on to appear on that evening's WrestleMania show at all, with Bryan and Ambrose being those Superstars this year.
