Top 5 superstars who could face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX

Undertaker’s streak is the biggest prize, arguably, in professional wrestling. Every year, a superstar challenges for the streak and is escalated to the heights of super-stardom. We take a look at five superstars, who can challenge The Deadman for his streak next season.

5. CM Punk

CM Punk faced off against The Undertaker in a great match at WrestleMania XXIX and was unsuccessful, just like every other wrestler who has faced the Phenom over the years at the biggest stage in WWE. As in recent years, in the cases of Shawn Michaels and Triple H, The Undertaker has faced off the same opponent in two consecutive WrestleManias. Hence, I’d say CM Punk still has an outside chance of the facing the Deadman at WrestleMania XXX.

4. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is one of a kind. After being ridiculed early in his career, especially by the likes of Michael Cole, he has risen to become one of the hottest properties in sports entertainment today. The bearded wrestler has built a large amount of momentum over the last year, but can he carry that to WrestleMania next year? If Daniel Bryan is selected, it will be a surprise choice but one that cannot be ruled out for now.

3. Kane

Kane has been out of action for sometime now. What can we expect of him when he comes back? WWE have misused the Big Red Machine for ages now, and it’s time they set it right. One of The Undertaker’s greatest matches at WrestleMania came against his kaybafe-brother Kane. That was back in 1998. 16 years on in 2014, both of them might be older and slower, but one cannot rule out a showdown that matches the classic. Rumoured to be The Undertaker’s last WrestleMania, one can’t be surprised if he is up against his greatest ally/rival in the company.

2. John Cena

Arguably the biggest superstar contracted to the WWE on a permanent basis currently, John Cena is out long-term after undergoing surgery for an injury. Cena is expected to be back early next year. Most expect Cena to get back in the world title picture by winning the Royal Rumble. But everyone knows the bigger prize is The Undertaker’s streak. John Cena has never faced Taker at WrestleMania. Can the biggest brand of the company do the impossible?

1. Brock Lesnar

There were huge rumours a while back that Brock Lesnar wants to face The Undertaker come what may. While this match has massive potential with two great technical wrestlers will be against each other, you got to wonder if The Undertaker’s body, at his age, can take a beating from The Animal. At this moment, this match seems much more feasible than the others. Lesnar has a streak of his, having never lost to The Undertaker at a PPV.
