Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio revealed that the reason why RAW's Drew McIntyre lost the WWE Championship to The Miz at Elimination Chamber was as part of a transition.

He noted that The Miz will likely not hold the WWE Championship for long. Meltzer stated that Drew McIntyre will almost certainly win back the WWE Championship in the near future and could go through Sheamus and Lashley in the coming time.

"This is a transition to get somewhere else. Whatever that is, I don't know. It may just be. I don't think it may be that quick (Drew getting it back on RAW tomorrow) because they have a PPV. So, I could see Drew getting it back at the PPV, or he could get it back RAW, you know."

This week on RAW, Bobby Lashley became the No. 1 contender for The Miz's WWE Championship. WrestleVotes has reported that while The Miz is unlikely to be part of the WWE title picture at WrestleMania, 'The Almighty' Bobby Lashley will be.

Bobby Lashley has gained a lot of momentum over the past year, and it appears as though WWE is building towards a clash between RAW's two biggest behemoths in Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania. It remains to be seen, however, which one of the two heads into WrestleMania as the WWE Champion.
