Fans are eagerly waiting for RAW's Netflix debut tonight, as WWE has announced a loaded card that features a host of big names. One among them is John Cena, who's expected to shed light on what lies ahead for him in 2025.

Last year, Cena confirmed that 2025 would be his final year in the wrestling business as an in-ring performer. Since then, there's been a lot of chatter about what The Leader of Cenation could do during his Farewell Tour. As expected, many are rooting for him to win his historic 17th World Championship and surpass Ric Flair.

However, if one closely analyzes Triple H's recent comments during an interview with Sports Illustrated, he seemingly hinted that another run as a world champion for John Cena might not be in the works. The Game stated that The Franchise Player's Retirement Tour wasn't about winning any title or headlining a premium live event but about bidding a final goodbye to his legion of fans.

Though Triple H didn't make anything explicitly clear, his comments could be alluded to Cena not breaking the record for the most world title wins. Regardless of whether he wins the gold, there's no doubt John Cena's Retirement Tour will be an emotional ride for his fans who have grown up watching him.

Matt Hardy is rooting for John Cena to break the record in WWE

In a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the WWE veteran predicted that John Cena would become a world champion in 2025.

Hardy laid out a scenario in which Drew McIntyre could dethrone Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title sometime in the near future. He added that this could lead to Cena challenging The Scottish Warrior for the gold at SummerSlam 2025, where The Doctor of Thuganomics could finally become a 17-time World Champion.

"I think at some point Drew McIntyre's gonna pick up the title," Hardy said. "Cody's had it for a year now. I think Cody will drop that title shortly after WrestleMania. I'm gonna go with that, I'm gonna go with the WWE Championship [as the title Cena wins]."

The Leader of Cenation has also been announced for next month's Royal Rumble, where he may potentially enter the Men's Rumble Match.
