Remember when everyone hated Roman Reigns for awhile?

Admit it.

Roman Reigns was one of the most disliked superstars in WWE before his leukemia announcement in late 2018 and it was only after he stepped away from the company to recover that fans actually started getting behind him. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that, but fans should remember that there was a time when Reigns wasn't so beloved.

In all honesty, whether it was due to him always being booked strong or because of his multiple stints in the title picture, there was just something about Reigns that rubbed fans the wrong way. Beyond that, his promo skills were sometimes so disenchanting that it was impossible to believe in the words he was saying.

In the end, Reigns will definitely get a hero's welcome, if and when, he finally returns to The WWE and that's a great thing. In fact, it's well deserved for a man that has been through the ringer in both his personal life and his career. With that being said, it is still insanely interesting how Reigns has transitioned from disliked top star to a beloved underdog.
