WWE Survivor Series: WarGames is now less than three weeks away. The match card for this highly anticipated event is starting to take shape.
During the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, it was officially announced that Gunther would defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest at Survivor Series. This matchup could lead to a major split between Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser after forming Imperium in 2019.
During Gunther’s confrontation with Priest on RAW, Kaiser interrupted, feeling that the Archer of Infamy was disrespecting the Ring General. However, Gunther was visibly displeased by the interference and berated him in front of everyone.
This moment may have subtly hinted at a growing rift within Imperium. Kaiser, feeling disrespected, might end up costing Gunther the win against Priest at Survivor Series. This could trigger an official split after five years, with Gunther blaming Kaiser for his loss of the World Heavyweight Championship.
Former WWE writer recently praised Ludwig Kaiser
Since joining the main roster, Ludwig Kaiser has quickly become one of WWE’s standout rising talents. The German star has shown he’s not a sidekick to Gunther, consistently proving himself in the ring.
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo also had high praise for Kaiser. In a recent episode of Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo said that Kaiser “gets it” and excels in the finer details. Russo noted that everything Kaiser does is meticulous and calculated.
"This guy is all about nuances, bro. Bro, you can tell immediately if somebody's got it and gets it on their ring entrance. You can tell immediately. And every single thing this dude does on his ring entrance is so meticulous and so calculated. These are the nuances, bro, that if you don't understand it you'll never see it," Russo said.
It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based company has planned for the talented Ludwig Kaiser moving forward.
