Drew McIntyre and The Bloodline have crossed paths several times in WWE for the past few years, but there was a time when The Scottish Warrior and a member of the group got along just fine. Interestingly, they were even joined by another top star from the SmackDown brand.
The top WWE champion in question is LA Knight, the current United States Champion. Before he returned to the Stamford-based promotion in 2021, he was in TNA from 2015 to 2019 as Eli Drake. A month after joining the company, he was part of The Rising composed of Drew Galloway and Micah, now known as Drew McIntyre and Tonga Loa respectively. Although all three members are now in the same company again, a reunion is unlikely.
During LA Knight's Fanatics Fest NYC appearance, he rejected the idea that The Rising would reunite in WWE. The United States Champion added that the group wasn't well known anyway.
"Oh, wow. OK. No, probably not. That is a guaranteed no. First of all, three people only even know what that is. And just... No,"
A female WWE star said her life is in danger. Details HERE
All three members of The Rising have become more successful in WWE on their own paths. Knight is one of the top names in the company, Drew is a former champion and one of RAW's top stars, and Tonga Loa is part of one of the most successful groups in wrestling today, The Bloodline with Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu.
Did Drew McIntyre and LA Knight already clash in WWE?
Since Tonga Loa just joined the Stamford-based promotion a few months ago, he still hasn't explored the roster much. However, McIntyre and Knight have already crossed paths again.
Drew and Knight only had one televised singles match against each other in WWE as of this writing, which took place on the February 23, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. A week before the episode, both men had an intense backstage confrontation in the lead-up to this year's Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
During the match, Drew defeated Knight via disqualification after Kevin Owens attacked McIntyre. The match ended with all contenders of the Men's Elimination Chamber brawling in the ring with Randy Orton as the last man standing.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if Drew McIntyre and LA Knight had a proper feud on the Stamford-based promotion in the future.
