Top WWE couple to reunite after 4 years on SmackDown? Exploring Hall of Famer's comments

There have been several WWE couples that formed throughout the years. Some were legitimate or their romance continued backstage while others were only together on-screen, like Bobby Lashley and CJ Perry (FKA Lana).

On September 30, 2019, in an episode of WWE RAW, Bobby Lashley and CJ Perry revealed that they were having an affair behind Miro's (FKA Rusev) back, the then-legitimate husband of the female star. The on-screen couple's relationship led to Lashley and the former Lana supposedly marrying months later, which did not take place.

The feud between Lashley and Miro didn't have a definite ending since the latter was released in April 2020 and then joined AEW in 2020. In the following month, Lashley and Perry broke up. CJ was released in 2021 and joined AEW in 2023 to align with Miro before they separated in that same year in real life. Just recently, Perry announced she was no longer All Elite, which means there's a possibility for a reunion with Lashley soon.

In a recent episode of The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T expressed interest in seeing CJ and Bobby reunite in the Stamford-based promotion, stating that it could revitalize The All Mighty's current run in the promotion, who is currently out of action from SmackDown due to an injury.

Interestingly, the former WWE Superstar expressed wanting to take on a managerial role. She shared that she wants to help them cultivate into becoming the best wrestler and a champion, even citing that she wanted to be someone like Paul Heyman. With this in mind, this role could go hand-in-hand if they reunite.

What did CJ Perry and Bobby Lashley think about their WWE romance?

While Perry was married to a different partner in real life and Lashley had children during their on-screen relationship, both agreed that an angle like that was necessary for the business.

While on the Table Talk podcast in June 2020, Lashley shared that there were certain things stars need to do in the business if it was best for the show. However, he admitted he wasn't sure if the romance was best for the show. He added that although he wasn't uncomfortable with Perry, he felt uncomfortable for his children and even had them not watch the show for a while.

In a February 2021 interview with TalkSport, Perry expressed that their love story cracked mainstream media and broke the internet. She shared that so much WWE programming happens every week and it can't be all for the title, and the company should have some relationship angles to also hook in the female audience.

It would be interesting to see if the former on-screen couple will indeed reunite in some capacity in the Stamford-based soon.
