#2 Kofi Kingston on The New Day working with The Elite
WWE announcing IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James for the 2022 women's Royal Rumble match has got everyone excited about the possibilities if the "forbidden door" is kicked open completely.
During a recent appearance on the Battleground podcast, Kofi Kingston spoke about The New Day wanting to work with AEW's The Elite.
"We talk about working with The Elite all the time. We talk about having a six-man [tag team match] with The Elite, that would be great. We kind of touched it when we played Street Fighter, and that wasn't supposed to happen. We thought at some point it would be pulled, but here we are man, it's crazy. It's a good thing," said Kingston.
The New Day was named WWE's greatest tag team in the history last year. A six-man tag team match with Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods going up against Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks would be epic. It is to be seen whether that happens or not in the near future.
#1 Paul Heyman's thoughts on WWE Champion Brock Lesnar speaking on the mic a lot more now
Brock Lesnar's current run since returning at SummerSlam last year is being loved by fans. Gone are the days when Lesnar was just a fighting machine who rarely spoke on the mic as The Beast Incarnate has shown recently that he can cut some amazing promos.
In fact, his comic timing has also been hilarious, adding a whole new level to his persona.
During a recent appearance on Casio's Cut, Paul Heyman gave his thoughts on this new version of Brock Lesnar. He jokingly claimed that its great that Lesnar has started to speak more on mic as his throat was getting sore.
“Thank god. My throat was getting sore espousing the virtues of ‘The Beast’, ‘The Conqueror’, the reigning, defending undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. So thank god he decided to pick up a microphone and do some talking. I’m tired of talking about him,” said Heyman.
Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship at Day 1 earlier this month. He is scheduled to defend his title in a dream match against Bobby Lashley at Royal Rumble next Saturday.
