Cody Rhodes will face Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin after demanding on WWE SmackDown that his close friend become the latest challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Prizefighter wasn't too keen but wouldn't let Roman Reigns get an 'undeserved' rematch. He'll unlikely have to deal with the threat of The Bloodline at the PLE, but a shock could be in store.

Randy Orton could leave fans aghast by turning heel on Kevin Owens. The Viper is also in action in Berlin on August 31 when he challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. He's been a babyface since April 2021, but he might start growing frustrated with his recent in-ring spell.

The 14-time world champion's failure to beat the Ring General could lead to him attacking his friend, Kevin Owens. His frustrations boil over, and he won't let KO succeed where he failed. He's recently eyed Cody Rhodes' title and could try to take his tag team partner out of the equation to stay in the title picture on WWE SmackDown.

Randy Orton has been having somewhat of an underwhelming spell on the blue brand and PLEs lately. He lost to The Bloodline alongside Rhodes and Owens at Money in the Bank and was pinned by Carmelo Hayes on WWE SmackDown. He suffered a controversial defeat to Gunther at King of the Ring, where he had his shoulder up during a pinfall.

The Apex Predator might let those voices in his head back in and return to the dark side. It's been far too long since fans have witnessed his sadistic and volatile nature, and the valiant Kevin Owens would be a perfect first victim.

Randy Orton's interesting comments about fellow WWE SmackDown star Kevin Owens resurface

Randy Orton has spent most of his career as a heel and is arguably one of the greatest in WWE history. He's synonymous with wreaking havoc in the Stamford-based promotion, attacking the McMahons, John Cena's father, and Stacy Keibler.

The Legend Killer is on the longest spell of his career as a babyface at present and is seemingly loving it. That wasn't the case in 2017 when he was about to feud with a then-heel Kevin Owens on SmackDown.

Orton spoke candidly about several topics, including KO's body and missing being a villain at the time. He told Edge and Christian on the E&C Pod of Awesomeness:

"I guess Kevin Owens has it figured out. He started fat and he’ll finish fat (laugh) He’s trying to get himself over as the fat guy that can fight. Bless his heart, that’s great. I’m jealous...I love it (being heel) and I’m gonna use that, hopefully sooner than later when I turn heel again because I’m sick of this babyface thing, that’s for sure." [H/T EWrestlingNews].

The 44-year-old's comments made sense seven years ago as he was in relatively unexciting storylines. He's now embroiled in a battle with Gunther, perhaps the best powerhouse in WWE. That said, his best work is done as a heel, and the SmackDown star may just be waiting to pounce for another villainous run.
