WWE Superstar Gunther is preparing for another big-time match at Saturday Night's Main Event this weekend. He will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Triple Threat Match against Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
The Ring General continues his rivalry with The Punisher, while this time, the leader of The Judgment Day, Finn Balor, gets a title shot after a long time amid a feud with Gunther.
The current World Heavyweight Champion will put his title in jeopardy, as he will have to deal not only with his in-ring opponents but also with the rest of The Judgment Day, which is expected to get involved to help Balor win. Meanwhile, Ludwig Kaiser is also expected to interfere and even the odds for the Ring General.
However, an outside interference could cost Gunther the title and lead to a face turn for The Ring General for the first time in his WWE career.
Gunther could turn on Ludwig Kaiser and blame him for losing the championship, starting a feud with him. Both superstars have done a great job as heels since moving to the main roster, and this might be the right time for a change.
At the same time, a face turn could open the way for new storylines for The Ring General, who could move to SmackDown in the coming weeks if the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes joins RAW in early January when the red brand moves to Netflix.
This weekend's title match will shed more light on what plans WWE Creative has for Gunther, but if he wins the Triple Threat Match, he will then go on to face either Seth Rollins or CM Punk next.
Gunther teased a feud with CM Punk on WWE RAW
Gunther kicked off Monday Night RAW and confronted Finn Balor and The Judgment Day, just days away from the title match at Saturday Night's Main Event.
During their confrontation, the Ring General called himself 'the best in the world', a phrase that is used by fellow RAW megastar CM Punk. This could be a hint that his next feud will be with The Best in the World.
If he retains his title, then CM Punk could step up and dethrone him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, which would add more fuel to his feud with Seth Rollins.
