Tough Enough 2015Many of you may remember the last edition of Tough Enough because that featured Stone Cold Steve Austin. But nothing came of it as the winner Andy Leavine was released less than a year later. But this has been a reality show that has given us some main roster mainstays like The MIz and Ryback. This year's edition features Daniel Bryan, Hulk Hogan and Paige as judges and Chris Jericho hosting the show with Renee Young. Lita is one of the trainers. The star power already boosts the reasons to watch this year's edition of the reality show but that does not necessarily guarantee how well the show may fare. Here are 3 points to note from the latest episode of Tough Enough
#3 The Judges
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Whenever there is a judging panel, we always have that one judge who’s extra nice, one who’s somewhere in the middle and one who’s not so fond of being immensely positive.
It’s refreshing that Paige is an example of the third category. She even called out on Hogan being extra nice and hopeful about the current cast of characters on the show. While Bryan wanted the competitors to bring more of themself in the mix of things, Paige clearly stated that apart from a couple of people, everyone appeared to be quite boring.
She wasn’t exactly mincing words when she called on Sara Lee’s lack of personality on the show !
#2 The trainers
Lita, Billy Gunn and Booker T are the three coaches for this season. Like any other adventurous reality show, they play their usual parts and don’t deter from speaking how dangerous one move can be.
This week's lesson and task was about how to take a bump from the turnbuckle.
While Booker T focuses on the smartness of a contestant, Lita is the voice of reason and caution where she maintains that fear can lead to irreparable damage and Billy Gunn is your resident coach who‘ll help you with the wrestling.
#1 The Contenstants
This season hasn’t really seen much of wrestling. It’s going more towards the them of an adventurous reality show with tasks and poiltics and face offs between contestants.
There’s Alex who believes that you don’t need to know about the history of wrestling to wanting to become a WWE wrestler. Dianna plays the role of the person almost everyone on the show wants to see leave but she doesn’t. Patrick is the amusing one who couldn’t even wade through the lowest levels of water and did not know how to swim for a swimming challenge. Tanner is the guy who completed the first challenege without following the exact words or rules which led Booker T to say that in this business you win by any means necessary.
So, there are some personalities coming out.
This season seems more focussed on personalities than wrestling.
