WWE RAW last week featured a surprising debut. After being drafted to the red brand two years in a row, yet never once appearing on the show, Odyssey Jones finally arrived. The big man saved Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods from The Final Testament.
Jones' debut was big, and the crowd loved it. The upstart showcased his power by tossing around The Authors of Pain and proceeded to celebrate with Kofi Kingston. This week, Triple H could shake things up even further by bringing back Big E.
Big E is a former WWE Champion and one of the founding members of The New Day. Now that a new big man has arrived, the beloved E could put his stamp of approval on him to help make sure he gets over with the audience. It could also help mend some fences within The New Day.
While Kofi Kingston was the one who seemingly recruited Jones from the WWE Performance Center, Xavier Woods was clearly caught off guard by his arrival. This led to some obvious tension between Woods and Kingston on RAW last week.
In addition to giving Odyssey Jones his stamp of approval, Big E could also endorse the big man to make sure any potential ill will between Kingston and Xavier Woods is nipped in the bud. Woods would likely trust Jones if both Kofi and Big E had his back.
Odyssey Jones could be officially added to The New Day on WWE RAW
There is a chance that Triple H could take things a step further and make a controversial decision. He could not only bring Big E back to endorse Odyssey Jones, but he could have Jones officially become a member of The New Day.
The New Day started a decade ago and featured Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. This trio enjoyed much success before E suffered a serious neck injury in 2022. While the former WWE Champion has made some appearances since then, he has yet to make his in-ring comeback.
Given that there is a real chance Big E will never wrestle again, The New Day arguably needs something to light the group back up. Odyssey Jones being the new muscle of the faction could be exactly what's necessary to make the stable hot again.
Many fans may not like the idea of a new member joining The New Day after a decade, but this is where Big E comes in. If the former champion endorses Jones, the upstart will likely face less resistance from the crowd.
