WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has been put in a difficult position by one of his major stars. With the road to WrestleMania beginning early this time, Hunter has an opportunity to spice things up more by taking strict actions against the aforementioned star.
WWE Bad Blood ended on a chaotic note, as Jimmy Uso and The Rock returned to further progress the Bloodline storyline. However, one of the most shocking incidents occurred after the show, when Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes in the parking lot.
Following unhinged actions, the Prizefighter was fined an undisclosed amount and suspended. However, he showed up on SmackDown to cause further chaos. The 40-year-old first interrupted Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson during their entrance to address the WWE Universe. However, Cody soon made his way to the ring, and the duo had to be kept apart by the security. Owens also attacked Randy Orton backstage for picking sides.
With Kevin Owens directly breaking the rules and disobeying orders, it could make up a good storyline for Triple H to fire the former Universal Champion. Owens could take a little break and make an unexpected return around Royal Rumble to resume his feud with the American Nightmare.
Could another WWE star turn on Cody Rhodes?
Being the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes is a marked man in the company. The American Nightmare has been feuding with The Bloodline for the last several months, and with The Rock making his return recently, his problems have just increased tenfold.
The American Nightmare was also betrayed by one of his closest friends, Kevin Owen, after Bad Blood. However, that may not be all, as Randy Orton could soon turn on the former AEW EVP.
The Legend Killer has been eyeing Cody's title over the last few months, and Triple H and Co. have also subtly teased a program between the two. While Randy is currently on the champion's side, he could be waiting for the right time to strike, and the altercation with Kevin Owens could just be a part of a big ruse.
Triple H has shown time and time again that he is a long-term booker, and thus, many are convinced that all the subtle foreshadowing won't be for nothing and that the Viper will strike when the time comes.
