Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins began their main roster careers together when they were introduced as The Shield at the 2012 Survivor Series. During their stint together, they managed to create a legacy and establish themselves as the next big superstars of WWE.
Fast-forward to 2024, and Rollins and Reigns are two of the biggest in the industry. However, despite being at the pinnacle of their careers on different brands, the on-screen animosity between former faction mates has increased over time. Roman and Seth are still engaged in a cold rivalry and have a lot of bad blood. A future showdown between them seems inevitable.
Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu cost Seth Rollins his match on RAW
The latest episode of Monday Night RAW saw Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu interfere during Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins' match, costing The Visionary the bout against The Aussie Monster in return for his help on the blue brand this week and joining them as the fifth member for the Men's WarGames match.
The Original Bloodline ran out to save Rollins from further damage that Solo’s faction could have inflicted on him for disrespecting Sikoa last week on RAW by refusing his offer and calling him a Roman Reigns wannabe.
Seth Rollins once again declined an offer to join the OG Bloodline
Sami Zayn yet again asked Seth Rollins to be their fifth member at WarGames. But once again, he refused to team up with Roman Reigns under any circumstances and said they don’t know how much it hurts to tell him he doesn’t want to help his former factionmate.
“I will never under any circumstances stand side by side with that tyrant Roman Reigns, I will not do it, you got no idea how much that hurts me to say,” said Seth Rollins. [H\T: WrestleOps]
It seems like Triple H has yet again dropped an easter egg for a major feud, this time regarding Rollins vs. Reigns. Every time both men have locked horns, The Visionary is portrayed as the villain who broke up The Shield. However, this rivalry would focus on Rollins’s side of the story and how The Original Tribal Chief has used him over the years.
When could Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns face each other?
Seth Rollins is already a major babyface on Monday Night RAW, and reports suggest Roman Reigns is expected to be drafted to the red brand once it moves to Netflix next year. We might see former faction mates restart their feud after the conclusion of the Bloodline saga, which will most probably end at WrestleMania 41.
Most likely, Roman and Rollins could then face each other at WrestleMania 42 to finally conclude their long-term storyline, which is long due. Triple H and the creative team seem to have been working on this feud for a long time, with the animosity between the two unlikely to go anywhere anytime soon.
