Talk of Shane McMahon arriving in AEW at WrestleDream has been intensifying, and Triple H will need to react if Shane O'Mac joins WWE's main competitor. The Jacksonville-based promotion is brimming with former talents from the biggest company in pro wrestling history. That said, The Game could capitalize on the potential debut by bringing a household name.

WWE's Chief Content Officer could strike while the iron is hot regarding all things McMahon and bring back Stephanie. The daughter of the former Chairman Vince McMahon resigned in January 2023 after her father returned to the promotion.

Vince McMahon stepped down again in January 2024 amid allegations of se* trafficking by a former employee. Stephanie has since made sporadic appearances in the company with her husband and WWE CCO, Triple H.

Two of those appearances were at WrestleMania XL and the Hall of Fame ceremony in April. It's clear The Game has no issue with her appearing, and he could respond to AEW's potential capture of Shane by officially bringing back The Billion Dollar Princess.

If Shane McMahon were to appear at WrestleDream, there would be a lot of interest in AEW. Fans are already envisioning scenarios in which he debuts, including stopping Christian Cage from cashing in his AEW world title opportunity at the event.

Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon could kickstart a new war between the Triple H led WWE and Tony Khan's AEW

The pro wrestling world was excited when AEW was established in January 2019. The company promoted itself as an alternative to WWE and was red-hot for several years with unique storylines and classic matches.

AEW has since struggled to keep its viewership numbers up, and WWE appears to be enjoying a rise in popularity under the Triple H era. Shane McMahon's potential debut could be the catalyst for Tony Khan's promotion to get back on track and rival the Stamford-based company.

Shane McMahon could take digs at Triple H and Stephanie to put more eyes on his new home. This could lead to The Game firing back with the return of The Billion Dollar Princess.

Netflix's recent docuseries Mr. McMahon could also be used by either Triple H or Khan to heighten a potential cross-company storyline. An episode from the series gave fans an insight into Vince McMahon's parenting, and his daughter looked the likelier of the two siblings to succeed him as Chairman of the Stamford-based company.

A Rock-HHH storyline could ensue involving Stephanie McMahon

Triple H and The Rock looked likely to go to war last year when the latter initially took Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes' WrestleMania XL main event spot. This led to a massive backlash from fans once it became known that The Final Boss was set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Owing to the fan reaction, the idea of this match was pulled, and Rhodes instead got his opportunity to face Reigns again after winning the Royal Rumble 2024. The rumor going around was that The Rock had used his powers as one of TKO's board members to get himself the Mania main event match.

Triple H hinted at a potential collision course with the Brahma Bull with a promo that suggested the latter had abused his power. He insisted that he was the only authority calling the shots, and which was why Rhodes got his match.

WWE could revisit a story between the CCO and The Final Boss amid the Bloodline drama. The latter could try to take over, leading to Triple H calling upon Stephanie McMahon for backup in the boardroom.

When was Shane McMahon's last WWE appearance?

Shane McMahon last appeared in WWE at WrestleMania 39, but it ended in catastrophe. He interrupted the show's host, The Miz, and was meant to have a match against the Awesome One, but ended up tearing his quadriceps.

Popular musician, Snoop Dogg saved the day and filled in for Shane during the segment, hitting Miz with a People's Elbow. It wasn't the return the fourth-generation wrestling promoter had anticipated.

Shane McMahon might look to rectify this by returning to pro wrestling with AEW. He's a risk taker and might be prepared to get physical with MJF having spoken of a potential match between the pair.
