WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H warned him something bad would happen. There was a reason he was trying to protect Randy Orton from Kevin Owens. However, The Viper didn't listen.
After getting flattened by a Swanton Bomb from KO during their wild brawl at Crown Jewel, Orton was at it again. He rushed to the ring looking for a fight with the former Universal Champion. It ended terribly for the legend, as Owens hit him with a piledriver. Yes, the move that has been banned in WWE.
Randy Orton was instantly taken out and left the arena on a stretcher. Given his history of back injuries, this was an especially dangerous move to take. Even though he knew something bad would happen, Triple H may have to take some serious action against Kevin Owens simply for using a banned move in the middle of the ring.
Given he's already been suspended and silenced for assaulting Cody Rhodes outside his tour bus, the future looks bleak for KO. Could he be fired from the company? It's certainly possible. There's been no word on Owens officially re-signing with the company, so this could be a creative way to write him off while the matter gets sorted out.
Triple H may have big plans for Kevin Owens in WWE
As long as he stays in WWE, Kevin Owens might be set for a massive push. Triple H will ensure all of his favorites are well-booked, especially the man who stood tall on his very first night in the company.
So, if KO does get fired in the storyline, expect him to return with a bang. It could be to set up his next big match, against Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare accompanied Randy Orton to the hospital and was left concerned for his real-life friend.
That could be Rhodes' motivation to put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Owens. A match between the two would be perfect for Survivor Series, especially if KO ends up shocking the world by dethroning the company's golden boy. What a masterstroke that would be from Triple H!
