After beating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes indulged in feuds against the likes of AJ Styles, and Solo Sikoa on SmackDown. The American Nightmare also faced his good friend Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin, but none of these rivalries have been remotely close to how great his feud against Reigns was.

However, the upcoming episode of SmackDown could change the same as Triple H could sow the seeds for Cody Rhodes' biggest rivalry since WrestleMania 40. On the blue brand, The Game could book Rhodes to indulge in a feud and defend his title against Randy Orton.

The upcoming episode of the blue brand could witness a segment between Orton and Rhodes in which the former could express disappointment over the Undisputed WWE Champion joining hands with Roman Reigns to fight The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a Tag Team match at Bad Blood.

The Apex Predator could remind Cody Rhodes of everything they went through together when Reigns was the leader of The Bloodline. However, Rhodes could stand his ground, which could lead to Randy Orton turning heel and pursuing a feud. Due to the history between the duo, this could turn out to be a massive rivalry.

WWE Legend thinks Roman Reigns can pull off a massive move on Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood 2024

When Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes signed the contract to team up against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu last week, it sent shockwaves across the WWE Universe. Fans could not believe the two superstars, who were sworn rivals before WrestleMania, would now team up to take on one of SmackDown's best factions.

While this might still be hard to digest for some, a WWE legend recently suggested that The Original Tribal Chief could pull off a major move on The American Nightmare. During an episode of Busted Open Radio, former WWE Superstar Bully Ray said there could be a scenario where Reigns does not tag Rhodes in.

Ray explained:

"I would like to see them go with a completely different psychology to this match. ... Imagine if Roman started the match and never, ever tagged out to Cody because it is Bloodline business. Remember Roman said in the promo — This is family business. This is Bloodline business," Bully mused. "But what if Roman never tagged out, until he absolutely positively needed to tag out, or Cody tagged himself in."

The angle suggested by Bully Ray does make sense because, as he mentioned, Roman Reigns did say in his promo that this was Bloodline business. However, knowing Rhodes, it's hard to imagine he wouldn't retaliate if The Original Tribal Chief were to do something along these lines.
