Triple H: 'The Smartest Deal'

Let’s face it: Triple H truly has done it all as an in-ring performer and held every possible accolade the company has to offer. From face to heel, from team captain to supportive role, from his mic skills to pure entertainment, he’s been good at everything. Fans have loved him in every gimmick of his. Who can forget the DX invasion, McMahon Helmsley era, real wife Stephanie and his story line on screen, Evolution, King of Kings avatar and what not. There’s nothing possibly left for The Game to prove anymore.

Triple H, no doubt, married the boss’s daughter and has been criticised for the same, but what earned him the backstage position was his intellect and new vision for the company he possessed. There were Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena and more, but no one could influence the management side of WWE. In Triple H’s case, he could smartly manage both in-ring and the backstage role handsomely. Some of his roles are Executive Senior Advisor, Executive Vice President of Talent, Training and Development, Worldwide Recruitment Head, Director of Storylines, etc. WWE’s Corporate Social Responsibility has also seen a high under his watch (Triple H’s PSA for WWE’s “Make Mom Proud” campaign with Susan G. Komen is the latest).

Just a couple of years into his regime, Hunter was able to mend WWE’s broken relationship with Sammartino and induct him to the Hall of Fame. Lot of strained relationships due to McMahon are being mended by Triple H. That’s a tough job and he’s doing it well. Triple H has also made substantial improvements to the WWE’s developmental organization over the last few years. He rebranded FCW as NXT, given NXT a new TV home at Full Sail University, and training center in Orlando. How many people would allow a certain Brock Lesnar to ruin his office just to improve on the story line? Triple H scored there too.

Practically since 2010, WWE has been run by Triple H with his smart wife Stephanie McMahon. In a recent interview, Scott Hall said, “The guy I would want to run the company, would be Triple H”. There’s still a long way to go but he’s surely the right successor for Vince Mcmahon. It won’t be too long before Vince retires and Triple H would be filling the big shoes excellently.
