Triple H and the WWE creative team are in search of a new challenger to the reigning Women's Champion, Nia Jax, on SmackDown. Bayley failed to reclaim the championship at Bad Blood, while Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton has not turned on The Irresistible Force yet.
However, Triple H may have Candice LeRae, the reigning WWE Women's Speed Champion, emerge as the next superstar to face Nia Jax.
Candice LeRae showed up on SmackDown and replaced Tiffany Stratton as Nia's tag team partner. The duo teamed up to take on Bayley and Naomi. LeRae was the one to claim the victory after pinning The Role Model.
As she has the momentum on her side, Candice could get a push by Triple H and the creative team by turning on Nia Jax and going after her for the Women's Championship.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
To do so, she will need to have a face turn after more than seven months as a heel. Candice LeRae was a face in WWE until the March 11 episode of RAW, when she took a shot at Maxxine Dupri, telling the Alpha Academy member that nobody liked her in the locker room.
Fast forward to today, Candice's face turn is not expected to happen before the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, as Nia will face the reigning Women's World Champion, Liv Morgan, for the Crown Jewel Championship.
Thus, Candice LeRae could turn on Nia Jax in the first SmackDown after Crown Jewel (Friday, November 8) and start a feud with The Irresistible Force, leading to a potential title match in the go-home episode of SmackDown before Survivor Series.
Triple H praises Candice LeRae after winning the WWE Speed Women's Championship
Candice LeRae made history after becoming the inaugural Speed Women's Champion in WWE, following her victory over IYO SKY in the tournament's final. After her win, Candice got high praise from Chief Content Officer Triple H.
"Never underestimate a Superstar as talented, determined and hungry as Candice LeRae. Huge congrats to your first-ever WWE Speed Women’s Champion on a history-making victory," The Game wrote on his account on X.
Candice LeRae signed with WWE in January 2018 and had only won the Women's Tag Team Championship during her stint on NXT. Thus, she made history by claiming her first singles title in her WWE career.
With that said, it remains to be seen whether she will now get a push by WWE and a shot at the Women's Championship.
