WWE's Chief Content Officer, Triple H, is leaving no stone unturned to make this year's SummerSlam a grand extravaganza. The Game has been doing an amazing job crafting compelling feuds and rivalries for the upcoming premium live event. One of the major storylines for SummerSlam seems to be brewing between two former stablemates on Monday Night RAW.
The superstars in question are Pete Dunne and Sheamus. This week on RAW, The Celtic Warrior came to the aid of his stablemate when Bronson Reed launched a post-match attack on Dunne. Despite Sheamus' help, the former NXT UK Champion refused to stand by his side and walked away, showing resentment.
It appeared as if Pete Dunne was frustrated with his former stablemate, most likely because the latter did not check up on The Brawling Brutes when he returned from hiatus after nine months. The 30-year-old star may also hold a grudge against the Irishman as Sheamus never allowed him to unfurl his wings when part of The Brawling Brutes.

Therefore, Triple H and his creative team seem to be pitting the former stablemates against each other and preparing them for a first-ever match at SummerSlam. There's a good possibility of it happening as WWE has set the undertone of this potential feud on RAW this week.
Triple H may have pulled Sheamus from a huge title match at SummerSlam
A few weeks ago, before Money in the Bank, Sheamus showed his interest in chasing the Intercontinental Championship as he stepped up to Sami Zayn. WWE was seemingly preparing him for a blockbuster multi-person match for the title at SummerSlam 2024.
However, things have taken a dramatic shift lately, as Triple H may have pulled The Celtic Warrior from the potential title match that was supposed to happen at the August spectacle. WWE seemingly scrapped those plans as Sheamus is currently nowhere to be seen around the Intercontinental Championship picture.
Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov have been involved in an intertwined storyline with Sami Zayn, while the former WWE Champion seems to be starting a fresh storyline with Pete Dunne. Hence, it could be possible that Ludwig Kaiser's injury may have compelled the company to make some major changes in plans.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see whether WWE injects The Celtic Warrior into the Intercontinental Championship picture for Sheamus or crafts a compelling storyline for him with his former stablemate at The Biggest Party of The Summer.
