Triple H's RAW tirade - Trying to stoke his own ego?

Triple H‘s promo on Monday where he blasted Daniel Bryan while tussling with his old friend Shawn Michaels have created quite a problem inside the WWE both with current and former WWE Superstars. In his promo, Triple H blasted Bryan and called into question former Superstar Edge as well as Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam about their ability to carry the company by themselves something which hasn’t gone down well with the locker room and the Superstars in question either.

Here’s what he had to say

The promo has provoked quite a reaction and Chris Jericho even took to his official Twitter account to have a go at the game. This is what he had to say

So is Triple H justified in his comments about Bryan or is it just that his time at the top of the food-chain made him an even bigger egomaniac. How will it affect the business as well as the guys inside the locker room who are the ones that make everything happen. Lets take a look -

Triple H’s talk about people not being able to carry the WWE by themselves may be right but it’s not right about the superstars he named. Edge carried the Smackdown brand on his own numerous times. He was the one who was there behind the scenes chalking up ideas on how to make the matches more interesting with the guys who actually pull out the ideas. Now that the guy is gone and that too because he was forced to leave to criticize him just seems childish.

RVD and Chris Jericho may not have been of the same calibre as Edge but to level such accusations at them especially after their brilliant in ring performances seems like absolute codswallop.

Triple H did this and he also compared them to Daniel Bryan. Yes it may seem to be part of the script but by demeaning Bryan, a guy who has been the reason why people are still tuning in to see the WWE or go watch it in the arenas seems to be counter-productive. Rather than establishing Bryan as the ultimate underdog, Triple H is trying to portray him as inept and weak and keeps on trying to tell the WWE universe that its best bet is not good enough.

All these comments coming from a guy who barely fights anymore(courtesy the suit and tie) and tries to portray himself as some one who he can barely hope to match(Mr McMahon during the attitude era) and now hides behind the hired muscle(The Shield) despite being quite able to do the job himself What it showcases is a person who is unable to cope with the task at hand and thus to show everyone else and in a bid to prove to himself that he is doing a good job of being the bad guy as well as feed his own overblown ego lashes out at the very people who are making the people stay.

So was his spittle ridden shoot filled with petty comments really the work of a guy trying to push himself up(along with his ego). The answer to that is plain to everyone who saw RAW this Monday – Yes.
