Twitter reacts to AJ Lee's departure, Mick Foley and Rob Van Dam comments

AJ Lee competed in her last match at Wrestlemania 31

As noted earlier, AJ Lee surprised the WWE Universe after she announced her retirement from the company where she competed for four years in the main roster.

The longest reigning Divas champion broke into the scene back in 2009 and has held the title on multiple occasions. She is married to former WWE superstar CM Punk who parted ways with the WWE back in 2014 on bitter grounds. WWE announced her departure on Twitter and also released a statement on the same on their official website.

Punk tweeted “ThankYouAJ” after his wife’s big announcement which certainly meant that he was delighted by her decision. WWE Hall of Fame Jim Ross gave his comments too. Former stars and Divas also responded to her exit as they tweeted the following:
