Alberto ‘El Patron’ Del Rio – UFC bound?

In a recent interview, Alberto Del Rio talked about receiving offers to compete in MMA. While he mentioned UFC & Bellator among the companies that made him an offer, sources doubt whether UFC has indeed made an offer. Besides MMA, Del Rio has had an offer come his way from the premier kickboxing promotion Glory, which airs on the same channel as Bellator, Spike TV. However, both offers are unrelated to each other.

Rumours also abound that other promotions have made an offer, including another TV group, that offer big money to the former WWE champion. Del Rio said he will fight in MMA only if there is significant money. By the looks of it, it does seem he stands to make more money in MMA than being in pro wrestling.

Recently, he addressed his departure from the WWE and the racism within the company.
