Uncle Howdy to pick up after Bray Wyatt and target 9-time champion and his faction? Exploring the chances

This week on RAW, the WWE Universe bore witness to Uncle Howdy's return and the debut of the Wyatt Sicks. It was a shocking moment, that saw the group come out into the arena after massacring everyone backstage. However, that could just be a warning shot, as Howdy could pick up where the late Bray Wyatt left off and target a nine-time champion and his faction.

The nine-time champion is none other than Bobby Lashley. He is a two-time - WWE Champion, ECW World Champion, and Intercontinental Champion; as well as a three-time United States Champion. Lashley was Bray Wyatt's last opponent before the latter's untimely passing.

Unfortunately, the two could not complete their storyline, as Wyatt had to be taken off television so he could deal with his real-life illness, and the storyline was eventually dropped. However, there is no reason why Uncle Howdy cannot renew the feud.

What's more, Howdy can even have the Wyatt Sicks target the faction led by The Almighty, The Pride. It would allow WWE to tie up some loose ends, and give the unfinished storyline from a little over a year ago a proper conclusion.

The question however does arise, considering the fact, that Lashley and The Pride perform on SmackDown. However, it is important to note that neither Uncle Howdy nor the Wyatt Sicks have been assigned a brand just yet. So, the possibility of them appearing on the blue brand to cause similar havoc cannot be ruled out.

But, at the end of the day, this is just speculation, and if this were to happen, it would only unfold once Lashley returns from injury.

Uncle Howdy subtly paid tribute to Bray Wyatt on RAW

Uncle Howdy made quite an impact on his return to the Stamford-based promotion. Leading the Wyatt Sicks, he reintroduced himself to the WWE Universe with the same eerie and macabre disposition that Bray Wyatt always held. It was an incredible moment and one that Howdy used, to subtly pay tribute to The Eater of Worlds.

As WrestlingWorldCC pointed out on Instagram, Howdy's attire contained a subtle tribute to Wyatt. Those with keen eyes would have picked up on it, as he had Wyatt's iconic red circle symbol on the top of his hat. Perhaps a unique way to acknowledge the role Bray played in the formation of this new group.

Things are bound to get even more interesting now that Uncle Howdy is back in WWE. He surely has big plans for both himself and the Wyatt Sicks. Fans around the world will have to wait and see what he has in store for everyone in the coming weeks.
