Some call him the greatest wrestler to ever live, for he has made a name for himself without ever really wrestling for World Wrestling Entertainment. Yet, fans worldwide wish every year that this enigmatic persona will finally sign with Vince McMahon to fulfill what some call the dream match that never happened. If or not Sting finally comes face to face with the legendary Phenom of Death Valley remains to be seen, but his status as a pillar of the business is unquestionable.

Sting stayed loyal to WCW till it’s dying breath, leaving fans with one last great match to remember alongside Ric Flair. As the curtains closed for good on WCW, so did Sting’s time in the major leagues. But “never” is a meaningless word in pro-wrestling, and a time will come when this icon makes his way onto a grand stage once more, to be reborn in front of tens of thousands of frantic fans screaming his name.
